Water’s quiet role

Water helps soften the food bolus, makes fibre work and keeps transit regular. Insufficient hydration alone can explain slow or uncomfortable digestion.

Increasing fibre without drinking more sometimes worsens the very problem you’re trying to fix.

How much, and when

Rather than a rigid figure, listen to the signals and spread your intake across the day. Drinking regularly, in small amounts, beats an occasional large glass. Here too, observation over time enlightens better than any general rule.
